About Us
Ananda Bharathi is resolved to participate in the spirited effort of the girl child to break out of the confines imposed by hard physical work, poverty and social backwardness. We aim to reach out to girls aged 5 to 15 years who had been denied the access to schooling and teach them the three R’s; give them knowledge of health, nutrition and vocational skills; instill awareness of their rights, and sensitize them to care for their environment in a holistic way.
History
Ananda Bharathi started functioning on 25th June, 1989 in a veranda of the Y.M.C.A, Tarnaka, Secunderabad by Janaki Iyer and Bhagyalakshmi.
